A catalogue of Cephalotini ant types (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae) deposited in the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil Pap. Avulsos de Zool. (São Paulo)
Prado,Lívia P.; Brandão,Carlos Roberto F..
The Hymenoptera laboratory of the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo (MZSP) houses one of the most representative collections of Neotropical ants worldwide. This is due to the wide geographical distribution of its specimens, and also because of the comparatively large number of types and taxa represented. The catalogue, following the general recommendations of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, lists types of the tribe Cephalotini deposited in the collection of MZSP; also providing information regarding labels, original publications, state of conservation of specimens, taxonomic status of listed species, and their current classification when different from the original. An index for the listed taxa is also provided. In total,...

Catalogue of the Coleoptera Cetoniidae in the Leiden museum : 1. Goliathus Lamarck, sensu lato Naturalis
Wiebes, J.T..
The collection of Cetoniid Coleoptera in the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie at Leiden contains, next to the usual assortment of chafers from various sources, several collections made by well-known specialists. Most important is the one made by F.T. Valck Lucassen (including the collection of O.E. Janson), acquired by the museum in 1940. A world collection of Cetoniidae is being arranged on the basis of this Valck Lucassen material. In 1928, the collection of G. van Roon was bequeathed to the museum, where it is to remain as such, not incorporated in the main collection. The data of the collection will be presented in this and forthcoming parts of a catalogue, accompanied by such revisional notes which it seems desirable to publish. Reference is here...

Data Cataloguing ArchiMer
Quimbert, Erwann; Jeffery, Keith; Martens, Claudia; Martin, Paul; Zhao, Zhiming.
After a brief reminder on general concepts used in data cataloguing activities, this chapter provides information concerning the architecture and design recommendations for the implementation of catalogue systems for the ENVRIplus community. The main objective of this catalogue is to offer a unified discovery service allowing cross-disciplinary search and access to data collections coming from Research Infrastructures (RIs). This catalogue focuses on metadata with a coarse level of granularity. It was decided to offer metadata representing different types of dataset series. Only metadata for so-called flagship products (as defined by each community) are covered by the scope of this catalogue. The data collections remain within each RI. For RIs, the aim is...

Systematic notes on Asian birds. 47. Blyth’s ’Catalogue of the Birds in the Museum Asiatic Society’ and his 1849 Supplemental Note, with historical comments Naturalis
Dickinson, E.C..
Blyth’s Catalogue is sometimes cited from 1849 and sometimes from 1852. Both dates can be found in Peters’s Check-list, each, in different volumes, appearing to be accepted. Consequently and inconsistently both are found in other works. The cover is dated 1849. The evidence, however, shows that while much was printed in 1849 publication was not before September 1852. Meanwhile Blyth’s ’Supplemental Note’ appeared in 1849. Most of the new taxa described in that were described then to ensure that Blyth’s names, already in his proof sheets for his Catalogue, obtained priority. In Peters’s Check-list most of these names have been cited correctly, i.e. from his Supplemental Note. However, a few exceptions need attention and their dates need to be corrected in...
